Saarinen's original TWA Terminal, numbered Terminal 5 at JFK, has been closed since the demise of TWA, the airline, in 2001. It is being integrated into an expanded terminal for JetBlue, combining the current terminals 5 and 6, in a scheme that partially preserves the Saarinen structure.

Terminal 4 at JFK International Airport is one of the most modern terminals in the New York area serving 45 international and domestic airlines.

At New York JFK Airport the World Duty Free shops can be found in Terminals 2, 3, and 7. In addition to these there is also a duty-free shop in Terminal 4, as well as internationally owned shops offering duty-free goods in Terminal 1, Terminal 8, and Terminal 9.

JFK Terminal 6 is for JetBlue flights.

JFK Terminal 7 is the British Airways terminal, plus Air Canada, Cathay Pacific, Icelandair, Qantas, Thai and United flights.

JFK Terminal 8 is one of two American Airlines terminals. Caribbean and International flights use this terminal, plus Finnair flights.

JFK Terminal 9 is one of two American Airlines terminals. Domestic and Puerto Rican flights plus American Eagle use this terminal.

Terminal 5

This terminal is the former Trans World Airlines terminal, has been closed since the demise of TWA, the airline, in 2001and is being reconstructed for a brand new JetBlue facility combining the current terminals 5 and 6, in a scheme that partially preserves the Saarinen structure scheduled to open in September 2008. It will have 26 arrival and departure gates plus various shopping and dining amenities.

Terminal 6
